Podle ofici\u00e1ln\u00edho prohl\u00e1\u0161en\u00ed \u201ese o\u010dek\u00e1v\u00e1, \u017ee upraven\u00e9 \u010derven\u00e9 krvinky umo\u017en\u00ed p\u0159\u00edjemc\u016fm, jako jsou voj\u00e1ci, efektivn\u011bji pracovat v nebezpe\u010dn\u00fdch nebo extr\u00e9mn\u00edch prost\u0159ed\u00edch\u201c.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Jak funguje modifikace \u010derven\u00fdch krvinek<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n\u010cerven\u00e9 krvinky jsou zat\u00ed\u017eeny biologicky aktivn\u00edm n\u00e1kladem, jako jsou \u201emal\u00e9 molekuly, peptidy, proteiny, pigmenty, koloidy a nanomateri\u00e1ly\u201c, aby se zv\u00fd\u0161ila efektivita voj\u00e1k\u016f v extr\u00e9mn\u00edch situac\u00edch. Proto\u017ee voj\u00e1ci \u010dasto maj\u00ed p\u0159ed nasazen\u00edm malou fyziologickou p\u0159\u00edpravu nebo ochranu, DARPA s\u00e1z\u00ed na to, \u017ee tyto upraven\u00e9 krvinky dok\u00e1\u017eou udr\u017eet v\u00fdkon v extr\u00e9mn\u00edch podm\u00ednk\u00e1ch.<\/p>\n<p>C\u00edlem programu je z\u00edskat z\u00e1kladn\u00ed znalosti o integraci r\u016fzn\u00fdch \u201en\u00e1klad\u016f\u201c do RBC a vyvinout prototypy. Integrace nebo modifikace genetick\u00e9ho materi\u00e1lu v\u0161ak v\u00fdslovn\u011b nen\u00ed sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed programu.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">V\u011bdeck\u00fd management<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nDr. Christopher Bettinger, profesor biomedic\u00ednsk\u00e9ho in\u017een\u00fdrstv\u00ed a materi\u00e1lov\u00e9 v\u011bdy na Carnegie Mellon University, vede program RBC Factory. Od n\u00e1stupu do DARPA v roce 2022 vedl n\u011bkolik v\u00fdzkumn\u00fdch program\u016f, v\u010detn\u011b:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>ADAPT\u00c9R<\/strong>\u00a0: V\u00fdvoj bioelektronick\u00fdch implant\u00e1t\u016f nebo kapsl\u00ed pro boj s p\u011bti hlavn\u00edmi bakteriemi, kter\u00e9 zp\u016fsobuj\u00ed cestovatelsk\u00fd pr\u016fjem.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HEALR<\/strong>\u00a0: Nov\u00e1 l\u00e9ka\u0159sk\u00e1 protiopat\u0159en\u00ed k l\u00e9\u010db\u011b mikrobi\u00e1ln\u00edch infekc\u00ed specifickou deaktivac\u00ed patogen\u016f.<\/li>\n<li><strong>ICE<\/strong>\u00a0: Optimalizace biologicky inspirovan\u00fdch molekul pro kontrolu tvorby ledu v extr\u00e9mn\u011b chladn\u00e9m prost\u0159ed\u00ed.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SHIELD<\/strong>\u00a0: V\u00fdvoj profylaktick\u00fdch \u010dinidel pro boj s krevn\u00edmi infekcemi u pacient\u016f po traumatu.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SMS<\/strong>\u00a0: Vytv\u00e1\u0159en\u00ed po\u010d\u00edta\u010dov\u00fdch simulac\u00ed, kter\u00e9 mohou p\u0159edpov\u00eddat chov\u00e1n\u00ed bakteri\u00ed v r\u016fzn\u00fdch kontextech.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">Dlouhodob\u00e9 c\u00edle<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nRBC Factory je sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed \u0161ir\u0161\u00ed strategie Pentagonu, jej\u00edm\u017e c\u00edlem je u\u010dinit z lid\u00ed \u201enadlidsk\u00e9\u201c prost\u0159ednictv\u00edm zvy\u0161ov\u00e1n\u00ed v\u00fdkonu.
