Co kdyby byl ten asteroid v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed? Co kdyby to byl takzvan\u00fd \u201ezabij\u00e1k m\u011bst\u201c?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Zem\u011b je mnohem zraniteln\u011bj\u0161\u00ed v\u016f\u010di n\u00e1raz\u016fm asteroid\u016f, ne\u017e si v\u011bt\u0161ina lid\u00ed uv\u011bdomuje, a syst\u00e9my na ochranu planety nejsou zdaleka dokonal\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Americk\u00fd\u00a0<\/span><em><span>N\u00e1rodn\u00ed \u00fa\u0159ad pro letectv\u00ed a vesm\u00edr<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0(NASA) a\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Evropsk\u00e1 vesm\u00edrn\u00e1 agentura<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0(ESA) maj\u00ed za \u00fakol dohl\u00ed\u017eet na objekty v bl\u00edzkosti Zem\u011b (NEO), co\u017e je term\u00edn pou\u017e\u00edvan\u00fd pro asteroidy a komety, kter\u00e9 se nebezpe\u010dn\u011b p\u0159ibl\u00ed\u017e\u00ed k na\u0161\u00ed planet\u011b.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Tyto agentury maj\u00ed sofistikovan\u00e9 teleskopy a pokro\u010dil\u00e9 sledovac\u00ed syst\u00e9my, ale realita je takov\u00e1, \u017ee nedok\u00e1\u017eou neust\u00e1le monitorovat celou oblohu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Sibi\u0159sk\u00fd asteroid byl zpozorov\u00e1n pouze teleskopem financovan\u00fdm NASA v Arizon\u011b sedm hodin p\u0159ed dopadem na Zemi. I kdy\u017e to m\u016f\u017ee zn\u00edt jako hodn\u011b \u010dasu, ve skute\u010dnosti je to nebezpe\u010dn\u011b kr\u00e1tk\u00e9 okno pro podniknut\u00ed n\u011bjak\u00fdch obrann\u00fdch opat\u0159en\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Pokud by byl asteroid v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed, mohl zp\u016fsobit zna\u010dn\u00e9 \u0161kody na zemi. A pokud by to byl skute\u010dn\u00fd \u201ezabij\u00e1k m\u011bsta\u201c, jako nap\u0159\u00edklad 400 metr\u016f \u0161irok\u00fd asteroid, o kter\u00e9m se astronomov\u00e9 ob\u00e1vali, \u017ee zas\u00e1hne Zemi na V\u00e1noce v roce 2004, sedm hodin by nebylo dost \u010dasu na evakuaci milion\u016f lid\u00ed nebo na vymy\u0161len\u00ed obrann\u00e9 strategie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Faktem je, \u017ee prost\u011b nen\u00ed dostatek profesion\u00e1ln\u00edch astronom\u016f a dalekohled\u016f, aby pokryly v\u0161echny mo\u017en\u00e9 oblasti na obloze. V\u011bt\u0161ina vysp\u011bl\u00fdch sv\u011btov\u00fdch dalekohled\u016f je soust\u0159ed\u011bna v n\u011bkolika regionech a ponech\u00e1v\u00e1 obrovsk\u00e9 \u201eslep\u00e9 z\u00f3ny\u201c, kter\u00e9 nikdo nesleduje.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>To znamen\u00e1, \u017ee asteroidy p\u0159ich\u00e1zej\u00edc\u00ed z ur\u010dit\u00fdch sm\u011br\u016f \u2013 nap\u0159\u00edklad nad Japonskem nebo Afrikou \u2013 by mohly proklouznout p\u0159es trhliny detek\u010dn\u00edch syst\u00e9m\u016f. Zat\u00edmco NASA a ESA d\u011blaj\u00ed, co mohou, sv\u00e1d\u011bj\u00ed n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00fd boj proti obrovsk\u00e9mu mno\u017estv\u00ed voln\u011b se potuluj\u00edc\u00edch vesm\u00edrn\u00fdch skal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ka\u017ed\u00fd den Zemi bombarduje odhadem 100 tun vesm\u00edrn\u00e9ho materi\u00e1lu, z n\u011bho\u017e v\u011bt\u0161ina ne\u0161kodn\u011b sho\u0159\u00ed v atmosf\u00e9\u0159e. Ale \u010das od \u010dasu se objev\u00ed n\u011bco mnohem v\u011bt\u0161\u00edho a nebezpe\u010dn\u011bj\u0161\u00edho.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Astronomov\u00e9 identifikovali 36 765 NEO objekt\u016f, v\u010detn\u011b v\u00edce ne\u017e 11 000, kter\u00e9 maj\u00ed pr\u016fm\u011br v\u00edce ne\u017e 140 metr\u016f a 868, kter\u00e9 jsou v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e kilometr. Z t\u011bchto NEO objekt\u016f je 1 714 pova\u017eov\u00e1no za potenci\u00e1ln\u011b nebezpe\u010dn\u00fdch, co\u017e znamen\u00e1, \u017ee existuje jist\u00e1 \u0161ance, \u017ee by se mohli srazit se Zem\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>I relativn\u011b mal\u00e9 asteroidy mohou zp\u016fsobit katastrof\u00e1ln\u00ed \u0161kody. \u010celjabinsk\u00fd meteor, kter\u00fd v roce 2013 vybuchl nad Ruskem, m\u011bl pr\u016fm\u011br pouh\u00fdch 18 metr\u016f. Zranil v\u0161ak p\u0159es 1 600 lid\u00ed a po\u0161kodil v\u00edce ne\u017e 7 000 budov.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>V\u011bt\u0161\u00ed asteroidy, jako nap\u0159\u00edklad ten, kter\u00fd v roce 2004 t\u011bsn\u011b minul Zemi, by mohly zni\u010dit cel\u00e1 m\u011bsta nebo dokonce spustit glob\u00e1ln\u00ed katastrofy. Podle Dr. Francka Marchisa, dlouholet\u00e9ho astronoma z institutu SETI, asteroid v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e 120 metr\u016f zas\u00e1hne Zemi p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b jednou za 10 000 let.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span>\u201eTo ukazuje, \u017ee pokud chceme, aby na\u0161e civilizace trvala dlouhou dobu, mus\u00edme se rozhl\u00e9dnout kolem sebe a identifikovat tyto objekty.\u201c<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h2><span>Amat\u00e9r\u0161t\u00ed astronomov\u00e9 a planet\u00e1rn\u00ed obrana<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>Dr. Marchis vysv\u011btlil, \u017ee \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed spo\u010d\u00edv\u00e1 v n\u00e1boru amat\u00e9rsk\u00fdch astronom\u016f na pomoc p\u0159i monitorov\u00e1n\u00ed oblohy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Profesion\u00e1ln\u00ed teleskopy jsou sice v\u00fdkonn\u00e9, ale je jich m\u00e1lo. Na druh\u00e9 stran\u011b, amat\u00e9r\u0161t\u00ed astronomov\u00e9 jsou v\u0161ude \u2013 a se spr\u00e1vn\u00fdmi n\u00e1stroji mohou znamenat obrovsk\u00fd rozd\u00edl.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>V roce 2015 Dr. Marchis zalo\u017eil sdru\u017een\u00ed UNISTELLAR, s\u00ed\u0165 ob\u010dansk\u00fdch astronom\u016f vybaven\u00fdch \u201einteligentn\u00edmi teleskopy\u201c, kter\u00e9 dok\u00e1\u017e\u00ed sledovat objekty ve vesm\u00edru a sd\u00edlet sv\u00e1 pozorov\u00e1n\u00ed s glob\u00e1ln\u00ed datab\u00e1z\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Kdy\u017e NASA a ESA zpozoruj\u00ed n\u011bco podez\u0159el\u00e9ho, upozorn\u00ed na to\u00a0<\/span><em><span>Centrum pro mal\u00e9 planety<\/span><\/em><span>\u00a0, kter\u00e9 upozorn\u00ed amat\u00e9rsk\u00e9 astronomy v s\u00edti UNISTELLAR.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Tito \u201eob\u010dan\u0161t\u00ed v\u011bdci\u201c pak pou\u017eij\u00ed sv\u00e9 teleskopy k up\u0159esn\u011bn\u00ed pozorov\u00e1n\u00ed, \u010d\u00edm\u017e pomohou potvrdit trajektorii asteroidu a ur\u010dit, zda pro na\u0161i planetu p\u0159edstavuje hrozbu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Uveden\u00e1 spolupr\u00e1ce se uk\u00e1zala jako kl\u00ed\u010dov\u00e1 v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b ned\u00e1vn\u00e9ho asteroidu nad v\u00fdchodn\u00ed Sibi\u0159\u00ed Pot\u00e9, co ho NASA zpozorovala, amat\u00e9r\u0161t\u00ed astronomov\u00e9 v Japonsku a Austr\u00e1lii pou\u017eili sv\u00e9 teleskopy, aby p\u0159esn\u011b ur\u010dili, kde a kdy zas\u00e1hne Zemi. D\u00edky jejich \u00fasil\u00ed se zjistilo, \u017ee asteroid sho\u0159\u00ed. v atmosf\u00e9\u0159e a nebylo t\u0159eba p\u0159ijmout \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 dal\u0161\u00ed opat\u0159en\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Pokud by v\u0161ak byl asteroid v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed, tito lid\u00e9 by sehr\u00e1li kl\u00ed\u010dovou roli p\u0159i identifikaci nebezpe\u010dn\u00e9 z\u00f3ny a n\u00e1sledn\u00e9m koordinov\u00e1n\u00ed evakuace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Samoz\u0159ejm\u011b, v\u011bd\u011bt, kdy se bl\u00ed\u017e\u00ed asteroid, je jen polovina \u00fasp\u011bchu. M\u00e1-li lidstvo p\u0159e\u017e\u00edt v dlouhodob\u00e9m horizontu, m\u011bl by existovat i zp\u016fsob k zastaven\u00ed t\u011bchto vesm\u00edrn\u00fdch skal d\u0159\u00edve, ne\u017e zas\u00e1hnou Zemi. Na\u0161t\u011bst\u00ed, existuje d\u016fvod pro nad\u011bji.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>V roce 2022 mise NASA s n\u00e1zvem Double Asteroid Redirection Test \u2013 DART (Dvojit\u00fd test na odklon\u011bn\u00ed asteroidu) \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b prok\u00e1zala, \u017ee je mo\u017en\u00e9 odklonit asteroid pomoc\u00ed kosmick\u00e9 lodi. Sonda DART narazila do vzd\u00e1len\u00e9ho asteroidu a m\u00edrn\u011b jej vych\u00fdlila z kurzu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Zat\u00edmco \u00fapln\u00e9 v\u00fdsledky budou potvrzeny a\u017e v roce 2026, prvn\u00ed \u00fadaje nazna\u010duj\u00ed, \u017ee mise byla \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00e1. K odklon\u011bn\u00ed asteroidu v\u0161ak Zem\u011b mus\u00ed b\u00fdt varov\u00e1na roky p\u0159edem, ne hodiny. Proto je d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159it sou\u010dasn\u00e9 monitorovac\u00ed \u00fasil\u00ed a co nejd\u0159\u00edve identifikovat potenci\u00e1ln\u00ed hrozby.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Vypln\u011bn\u00edm \u201eslep\u00fdch z\u00f3n\u201c mal\u00fdmi, cenov\u011b dostupn\u00fdmi teleskopy mohou amat\u00e9r\u0161t\u00ed astronomov\u00e9 pomoci vytvo\u0159it glob\u00e1ln\u00ed s\u00ed\u0165 schopnou neust\u00e1le sledovat celou oblohu.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span>Vesm\u00edrn\u00e9 agentury pot\u0159ebuj\u00ed pomoc od oby\u010dejn\u00fdch lid\u00ed<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span>Pravdou je, \u017ee NASA a ESA to nedok\u00e1\u017eou sami. Jedin\u00e9, co pot\u0159ebujete, je teleskop (nebo dokonce jen dalekohled) a ochota d\u00edvat se na hv\u011bzdy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>V dob\u011b psan\u00ed tohoto \u010dl\u00e1nku astronomov\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed se ujali ambici\u00f3zn\u00ed a rozs\u00e1hl\u00e9 mise mapov\u00e1n\u00ed galaxi\u00ed, aktivovali v\u00edce ne\u017e 10 000 amat\u00e9rsk\u00fdch v\u011bdc\u016f v 85 zem\u00edch, aby jim pomohli v p\u00e1tr\u00e1n\u00ed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>V sou\u010dasnosti se tak\u00e9 sna\u017e\u00ed v\u00fdrazn\u011b zv\u011bt\u0161it svou dobrovolnickou s\u00edlu pro tento jedine\u010dn\u00fd projekt, kter\u00fd by mohl poprv\u00e9 odhalit povahu temn\u00e9 energie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>V\u00fdzkumn\u00fd projekt zn\u00e1m\u00fd jako Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX) byl zalo\u017een na Texask\u00e9 univerzit\u011b v planet\u00e1riu Austin&#8217;s McDonald Observatory.
