Proto je absurdn\u00ed sna\u017eit se sni\u017eovat CO2 v atmosf\u00e9\u0159e,\u201c<\/em>\u00a0\u0159ekl.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201ePod\u00edv\u00e1te-li se na geologickou historii, tak v porovn\u00e1n\u00ed s t\u00edm, co je norm\u00e1ln\u00ed pro rostliny, jsme nyn\u00ed v \u00e9\u0159e CO2 hladomoru. T\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 ka\u017ed\u00e9 rostlin\u011b, pokud j\u00ed d\u00e1te v\u00edce CO2, bude se j\u00ed da\u0159it l\u00e9pe.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>V\u011bt\u0161ina provozovatel\u016f sklen\u00edk\u016f v nich zdvojn\u00e1sobuje nebo je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce zvy\u0161uje mno\u017estv\u00ed CO2 a rostliny pak rostou mnohem rychleji \u2013 ai kvalita kv\u011btin a plod\u016f je mnohem lep\u0161\u00ed,\u201c<\/em>\u00a0\u0159ekl profesor Happer.<\/p>\n<p>Profesor d\u00e1le vysv\u011btlil, \u017ee od exploze \u017eivota v kambrick\u00e9 \u00e9\u0159e \u201ehladiny CO2 v\u00fdrazn\u011b klesly\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>Kambrick\u00e1 exploze se t\u00fdk\u00e1 rychl\u00e9ho a n\u00e1hl\u00e9ho objeven\u00ed se slo\u017eit\u00fdch forem \u017eivota na Zemi, p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b p\u0159ed 541 miliony a\u017e 530 miliony let.<\/p>\n<p>V\u011b\u0159\u00ed se, \u017ee tehdy byly polo\u017eeny z\u00e1klady ohromn\u00e9 \u200b\u200brozmanitosti \u017eivota na Zemi, p\u0159i\u010dem\u017e b\u011bhem tohoto obdob\u00ed se objevilo mnoho modern\u00edch skupin zv\u00ed\u0159at.<\/p>\n<h2>V minulosti bylo v zemsk\u00e9 atmosf\u00e9\u0159e n\u00e1sobn\u011b v\u00edce CO2 ne\u017e dnes<\/h2>\n<p>Vysok\u00e9 hladiny oxidu uhli\u010dit\u00e9ho b\u011bhem kambrick\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed mohly hr\u00e1t kl\u00ed\u010dovou roli ve v\u00fdvoji \u017eivota na Zemi. Studie nazna\u010duj\u00ed, \u017ee koncentrace oxidu uhli\u010dit\u00e9ho b\u011bhem kambrick\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed byly mnohem vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e dnes.<\/p>\n<p>Jedna studie zjistila, \u017ee hladiny CO2 byly 1.000 \u010d\u00e1stic na milion (ppm) a kniha od RA Eggletona \u201eKr\u00e1tk\u00e1 historie klimatick\u00fdch zm\u011bn\u201c uv\u00e1d\u00ed, \u017ee hladiny CO2 mohly b\u00fdt v obdob\u00ed kambria a\u017e 4.000 ppm ve srovn\u00e1n\u00ed se sou\u010dasnou \u00farovn\u00ed kolem 400 ppm.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201e\u00darovn\u011b CO2 byly obvykle t\u0159i, \u010dty\u0159i, p\u011btkr\u00e1t vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e jsou nyn\u00ed. Rostliny jsou uzp\u016fsobeny na mnohem vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed \u00farovn\u011b, a tak jim v sou\u010dasnosti n\u00edzk\u00e9 \u00farovn\u011b CO2 \u0161kod\u00ed mnoha zp\u016fsoby,\u201c<\/em> vysv\u011btlil Prof. Happer.<\/p>\n<p>Jedn\u00edm z druh\u016f po\u0161kozen\u00ed rostlin kv\u016fli n\u00edzk\u00fdm hladin\u00e1m CO2 je fotorespirace.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201eFotorespirace je d\u016fle\u017eit\u00fdm aspektem metabolismu rostlin a hraje z\u00e1sadn\u00ed roli v r\u016fstu a v\u00fdvoji rostlin. Kdy\u017e je CO2 n\u00edzk\u00fd, pak enzym, kter\u00fd rostliny vyu\u017e\u00edvaj\u00ed, je otr\u00e1ven kysl\u00edkem, tak\u017ee rostliny mus\u00ed m\u00edsto r\u016fstu v\u011bnovat mnoho sv\u00fdch zdroj\u016f na detoxikaci t\u00e9to otravy kysl\u00edkem,\u201c<\/em>\u00a0vysv\u011btlil profesor.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201ePokud zdvojn\u00e1sob\u00edte CO2, rostliny nebudou muset tak tvrd\u011b pracovat, aby se ochr\u00e1nily p\u0159ed kysl\u00edkem. To je hlavn\u00ed d\u016fvod, pro\u010d sklen\u00edky funguj\u00ed l\u00e9pe, proto\u017ee se zbav\u00edte otravy kysl\u00edkem \u2013 fotorespirace,\u201c<\/em>\u00a0vysv\u011btlil Happer.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201eJe neuv\u011b\u0159iteln\u00e9, \u017ee se jim (zkorumpovan\u00fdm v\u011bdc\u016fm a politik\u016fm) poda\u0159ilo prom\u011bnit vn\u00edm\u00e1n\u00ed tohoto blahod\u00e1rn\u00e9ho plynu, kter\u00fd je sou\u010d\u00e1st \u017eivota, za hrozbu,\u201c<\/em>\u00a0dodal profesor a pokra\u010doval:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201eMluv\u00ed o uhl\u00edkov\u00e9m zne\u010di\u0161t\u011bn\u00ed. Neum\u00edm si p\u0159edstavit, o \u010dem to \u0159\u00edkaj\u00ed. Jsme z uhl\u00edku a ka\u017ed\u00fd z n\u00e1s vydechne kilogram CO2 denn\u011b.
